Whatislabiaplasty?
With age, pregnancy, childbirth, or weight changes, the labia can lengthen or change shape over time. When the labia majora or minora become elongated, it can affect confidence in how the genital area looks, and excess skin can also cause discomfort under tight clothing or during exercise. Labiaplasty surgically reduces the size of the labia majora, minora, or both — for either cosmetic or comfort reasons.
The procedure most often focuses on the labia minora (inner lips), though it can address the labia majora (outer lips) as well. The main goal is simply to remove excess tissue so nothing protrudes beyond the labium.
