Whatisvaginalreconstruction?
Vaginal reconstruction creates a new vaginal canal after surgery has removed the vagina (a vaginectomy), or restores vaginal structure and function that's been affected by prolapse or other conditions. One of the central aims is to make vaginal intercourse possible again after surgery — though the operation isn't right for everyone, and it's worth discussing the advantages and risks openly with your doctor before deciding.
